K3, a Microsoft focused Business Technology specialist has announced a new Microsoft Dynamics CRM project with IMC, a European market leader in specialist commercial catering equipment. The new implementation will deliver enhancements to IMC’s sales, service and marketing capability. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution will also complement IMC’s extensive use of SmartVision, a manufacturing business software which was successfully implemented by K3 in 2005.

IMC, part of the Lincat Group, is a leading UK manufacturer of commercial catering and back bar equipment, with a reputation lasting over 100 years for providing quality, innovation, reliability and exceptional service. IMCs range is one of the most comprehensive and technologically advanced in the market place. IMC is also a leader in certain specialist areas such as vegetable preparation, back bar servery systems and commercial food waste disposers system where it has a dominant market share in many European territories.

Our SmartVision software gives us a great deal of control and flexibility across our manufacturing environment and Microsoft CRM is a natural extension to help us deliver further improvements to our sales, supplier, service and marketing operations, says Tim Tindle, MD of IMC.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a number of powerful capabilities like workflow automation and analytics, to help sales, marketing, and service teams easily share information and route tasks to provide a seamless customer experience. In a similar vein to its successful SmartVision software, K3 has been selected to design, implement and support the new Microsoft CRM solution that is planned to go live in June.

IMC is a state of the art UK manufacturer that in the past decade has invested over £5m in facilities, plant and equipment to ensure that the factory continues to be at the forefront in both processes and efficiency. Export is a very important part of the business with over 40% of production exported across the globe, whilst 60% is sold in the UK.

Maggi Fraser, General Manager for K3 added, “SmartVision is built extensively on Microsoft technologies and the addition of Microsoft Dynamics CRM adds extensive capabilities to IMC including sales, service and marketing operations for both onsite and mobile workforce.”
