Microsoft Offers Free Dynamics GP Payment and Commerce Services
For customers of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft has release a new module for the software that enables you to accept electronic payments via credit or debit cards. The payments can be accepted over the phone or through an online solution and will go directly through Dynamics GP. From this November through to the 31 May 2011 you and test and try the module for free (100% discounted) through Microsoft early access release program.
The payment service is designed for Dynamics GP 10.0 Service Pack 5 and Dynamics GP 2010 SP1. It is integrated into the Receivables Management and Sales Order Processing.
Existing customers with Dynamics GP BE, Pro, AM and standard licenses will be provided with free access to payment services provided that they are on a Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP). However, only Advanced Management customer will be able to take advantage of the only eCommerce platform integrated in Sales Order Processing.
According to Microsoft you can build and publish new sales catalogues on demand and extend your sales reach across multiple online channels; leverage online communities to drive your sales pipeline even further, and all is done with seamless integration into Dynamics GP.
It should be noted said Microsoft that the typical transaction fees will apply and the provider agreement for accepting credit cards are handled by the payment providers and customers themselves and not through Microsoft.
