Scot Young Research Selected ST Consulting For Microsoft Dynamics GP Services

Scot Young Research (SYR) has taken on ST Consulting, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) specialist to provide consultancy and support services for its Microsoft Dynamics GP software. As the business environment changes and with plans to integrate Dynamics GP into its warehouse management system and upgrade to Dynamics GP 2010, ST Consulting will manage the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and integration of both systems.

As a manufacturer Scot Young Research has been using Microsoft Dynamics GP for the last eight years and cited a changed in business focus from complete manufacturing to both importing and manufacturing. Today the company imports about 40 percent of its products, which highlight the need to re-evaluate its requirements in order to position the business for future growth.

“With the shift in focus for the company we needed to make sure we were utilising our IT software to its full potential so we reviewed our contract with our current supplier. The way in which we were using our system was bulky and it created a huge volume of unnecessary transactions. ” David Deo, financial director at SYR.

The integration of Dynamics GP and SYR’s warehouse management system could start as early as after the Christmas period, with the upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 following after. After the integration SYR staff will have global wireless access into the warehouse management system in order to monitor stock levels, added Deo. “In addition, we are piloting CRM with the intention to manage customer orders and integrate this information into the warehouse management system and unify the solution for the UK business.
